Elixir Strings

Scott chose Elixir® Strings at the age of 11 when a local music store gave him a set of mandolin lights, polywebs to try out with his new mandolin. Scott loved the action of the strings and began to use them exclusively, switching only to Elixir® nanowebs. Using Elixir® Strings on his Michael Lewis mandolin enabled Scott to get that hard core bluegrass sound, as well as the controlled classical sound from the same mandolin.

More recently, Scott has added guitar to his performances, using Elixir's Acoustic Anti-Rust Plated Plain Steels, Phosphor Bronze NANOWEB coating.

Tricopolis Records was started in 1997 by musicians Mike Nadolson and Walden Dahl upon realizing a great need for a place to locate bluegrass recordings, especially that of good bluegrass music on independent labels. How would they get the word out to the nation; not just the local West Coast? Instead of having the customers come to the store, Mike began bringing the store to the customers at bluegrass events across the country! Tricopolis Records offers new bluegrass instruments, every instrument accessory you may need and a huge variety of cases, gig bags, straps, music books, lesson videos, DVD's and CDs.
