Salty Suites will be performing in concert at The House Of Bob, the Coffee Gallery Backstage at a fundraiser for this venue and this man, Bob Stane that we as artists and fans of live music love so much. Mark you calendars folks, buy tickets and if and when you can pay as much as you can. Every penny goes to the venue, not the artists. We will be there playing for you...come and support the venue and show your appreciation for Bob. Salty Suites is Scott Gats, Chelsea Williams and Chuck Hailes. Opening for us will be Singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers who has played her own brand of acoustic folk all over Los Angeles, including the Troubadour, the El Rey, the Roxy, Genghis Cohen and the Grand Ole Echo. Hometown Pasadena called her a "local treasure." Phoebe is an engaging performer for such a young singer, and her own songs are mature and insightful. Phoebe is currently studying music at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. See ya there.... call early for seat as this will sell out

The Salty Suites will be playing the VIVA CANTINA in our usual place, the lovely backroom stage area. This will be our fourth month in the back room after being the featured Band of the Month for the Southern California Bluegrass Association in September. We are trying to make this a monthly "Hang" for us and would love to get our meal crowd locked in and bringing friends. The food is delish', it is an intimate room with seating for many but we are away from the front of the restaurant bar area and it is a great listening room. Early on a Sunday so everyone is out and home in time to rest for the grind. The Suites will be there this weekend and tend to play for the full two hours non stop. If you have a favorite Salty Suites, Scott, Chuck or Chelsea tune, bring your requests for the band. Hope to see you there!
Salty Suites..... Scott Gates, Chuck Hailes and Chelsea Williams
They live in the world of live acoustic music, sharing a passion for roots and bluegrass, as well as traditional mountain music. Scott Gates is as close to a musical prodigy on the mandolin as you will ever meet and now plays guitar with the same fire and brilliance. Scott has been a mainstay at festivals for many years and holds a special place in his heart for people he sees year after year. Having performed all over the country and with artists as varied as John McEuen, Nathan McEuen, Steve Martin, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kenny Loggins and a virtual Who's-Who of bluegrass players, Scott has started writing music of his own and will be bringing many of these tunes to you this year. Scott appeared last year on the Ellen Show with Steve Martin, recorded with Kenny Loggins on his soon-to-be-released family album, which was picked up by Disney, appeared in an episode of the 2011 season of "Justified" on the FX Channel and toured the US with band mate Nathan McEuen. Partner in this new venture, Chuck Hailes, is one of the top bass players in the country, schooled in classical and jazz bass playing and techniques. Chuck writes his own music and has teamed with Scott to create many new musical gems. With his background in bluegrass music, and degree in the Upright Bass, Chuck sings and plays in a way that is uniquely his own. Chelsea Williams has been writing and performing her own music since she was 13 years old. After a couple of years in two different working bands, Chelsea took the stage on her own by the age of 17, performing at clubs and coffee shops. While some of her early songs are still hits with her fans, she has continued to develop as a writer penning nearly 100 original songs to date. Chelsea currently makes her living by playing on the street for tips and selling a home-made demo, having sold thousands of CDs in recent months, one-by-one, simply on her own on the street. Her magnetic presence draws them in and her songs set the hook. Together they are simply amazing and electrifying, The Salty Suites ask you to lend them your ears.....

The Salty Suites are returning to Paso Robles where they rocked the house on their previous visit. This time they will be appearing for a live recording of their show on Saturday night the 18th of February! This should be a killer show folks and the Salty Suites want to make sure you make this one. The Suites are Scott Gates on Mandolin /vocals, Chelsea Williams on Guitar/vocals, Chuck Hailes on Bass/vocals and Elaine Gregston on the Accordian.
