Busking in Santa Cruz:
Just wanted to tell you that Friday night was what I call one of those "unexpected music moments." I heard something those few minutes that you can never try to find - it just happens. Sorry my husband and I hadn't finished dinner sooner so I could have heard more. I watched some of your vids on youtube ... John McEuen - why was I not at all surprised?
Not sure if you have a mailing list but if so, would love to join it. I looked on your calendar, don't see anything on it yet that's closer to these parts, but if I find myself in SoCal for any reason, I'll try to find a show.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover the group at the Sawdust Art Festival August 5th. Nice mix of material and arrangements. At the end of the day, I explored YouTube for Chelsea's solo videos/songs. This band is a PERFECT fit for her vocals, material and energy. Great show, great day, stayed until the end. Looked for you and Mimi; sorry we missed you! We saw a guy test-driving a mando at one of the vendors. His head was down so we couldn't see his face. Wendy said "This guy is pretty good." I just ...smiled and told her "Duh, that's Scott!" (His girlfriend was standing there too - that was another clue!) I wish Paramount Ranch would hold an event like that quarterly, if not monthly!

Thanks for your words and thank you for all the great YouTubes of Scott and Nathan and company. I was so impressed with them, their musical style and their musicianship at the Huck Finn Jubilee. Before I went there, a friend of mine also had just introduced me to Chelsea Williams' music and, at Huck Finn, I hadn't yet made the connection, until driving away from Victorville with Scrapbook Sessions playing in my car. Scott is the focal point of some excellent music being made that, as a Californian, makes me truly proud. I didn't realize the extent to which California is really an outstanding Bluegrass state with outstanding young talent. (I'm very impressed with the Tuttles and AJ Lee, too). BTW I sent a copy of Scrapbook Sessions (signed by Nathan, Scott and Chuck) to a Dutch musician that I follow named Bertolf Lentink - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5nvCE_yE1Y He really enjoyed it and said he wants to make a Bluegrass-inspired record one day.

Anyhow... it's exciting music. Keep up with the outstanding YouTubes - I really enjoy them! My favorite is the gig you captured at the Castoro Cellars in June 2009. What an enjoyable evening that must have been!

brought a magic and energy to the stage that collectively was superb. In our discussions with your lead singer and bass player, we were told that you would
